BIKE ROUTES OF MARMARÄ°S

Marmaris is the most bicycle-friendly town in Turkey. Up to now, many projects have been put into effect, aiming to spread the use of bicycles and make them an inherent part of daily life. For example, there are bike routes of 710 kilometers in nature. For guiding cyclists there is a detailed web page, ios/android applications, printed maps, and on the tracks there are numerous QR coded direction and information signs.
In the town centre, there are blue labelled bike lanes. They are pretty safe, because there are barriers on the sides preventing the cars entering in. The blue routes are 11 kilometres long. The second half of the route came in service in May 2017. The route roughly starts near the castle, and ends in front of the Turban Hotel. Between these two spots, it is mandatory to use blue routes, this means you can not bike on the Coastal Walkway.

There are many bike rental spots in Marmaris, which you can rent mountain, hybrid, city or electric bikes. The costs are about 20₺ for one day.
