Old Town is the quarter around Marmaris Castle, and is only 1 minute away from the coast. Roughly, it is composed of white stone houses, hanging ivy flowers, narrow streets and the cats for sure. The very narrow streets prevent cars entering in, which helps the town to preserve its authenticity. Inside the Old Town there are restaurants, cafes, boutique hotels, souvenir shops, and houses.

You can see all around Old Town in one hour-time at most, so we recommend you to add the Old Town to your places-to-see list. After visiting the town and the castle, you may take a break at “Kale Minör" Sanat Evi (Art House), which is located just opposite of the gate of Marmaris Castle. You can drink something, enjoy live music and chat with the shop owners, and probably you’d visit there once again.
